The “SHACK” Foundation has been established to have a positive influence on the community and all the families that are affected by its existence. The “SHACK” Foundation is an organization focused on supporting Humanity and well-being of the citizens of rural Camp County and surrounding communities. The Mission of the Foundation is to help children thrive and build self esteem, strengthen and sustain individual family and community life in rural communities in Texas, especially Pittsburg, Camp County.  To help children reach their full potential; to strengthen East Texas communities while providing safe refuge for future generations; to actively protect the minds of our youth and instill in them a desire to succeed and pursue their goals despite obstacles.

The 'SHACK" Foundation will form a partnership with local school districts and the juvenile court system. The “SHACK” Foundation’s goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future.

The “SHACK” Foundation will award an annual scholarship to a member of the East Texas community based on high school grades, community involvement, and citizenship.

The “SHACK” Foundation will establish a mentoring program that will seek youth that struggle with overcoming life barriers in their lives, such as poverty, discrimination, abusive situations, addictions, unstable homes, and also academic challenges.

The “SHACK” Foundation will be seeking funding and donation to successfully implement  the ELSWF Community Plaza roll out in rural Camp County.
